Description

This is sources sought announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified potential offerors. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. Durham VAMC (DVAMC), Durham, North Carolina has a recurring need for personnel, labor, materials, and transportation to perform maintenance on the various Kinetic Concepts, Inc. (KCI) products (beds and overlays). The applicable NAICS Code is 811219 with a size standard of $19.0 Million. THIS IS NOT THE COMPLETE DESCRIPTION LIST: Contractor shall provide personnel, labor, materials, and transportation to perform maintenance on the various Kinetic Concepts, Inc. (KCI) products (beds and overlays) at the Department of Veterans Affairs, 508 Fulton Street, Durham, NC, 27705 (Durham VAMC), which consists of: Installation / Replacement of internal filters and tubing sets monthly and replacement of internal filters, as needed; "Installation of repair parts; "Quality check of each unit monthly and prior to each patient placement; "Maintaining log books of all quality checks. Able to provide receipts on equipment placement and removal. "Provides web based tool to maintain/capture tracking status on designated equipment inventory. "Provides <24 hour response to placement of wound vac and bed systems, provides <4 hour response to placement of bariatric bed system during hours of 0800am to 0800pm/7days/week. "Three times per week rounds on all Vacs to ensure correct mechanical operation and location. "Contractor/Vendor to coordinate with Wound Care staff prior to commencing/conducting activities on Durham VA campus and provides daily communication to Wound staff regarding status of product requests. "On-site technician available to facility 70% of business work day. "Trouble-shooting and after-hour services; "Cleaning, disinfecting, and washing of the sheets and filters; "Providing loaner beds free of charge in the event bed needing servicing is occupied by a patient. Responses to this sources sought notice should include the following: name and address of company; business size (large or small); identify whether or not firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories - 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned; brief capability statement of qualifications and any other pertinent information, which demonstrates ability to meet the above requirement.
