- Draft Statement of Work Draft Performance Specification The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia seeks sources and information for an add-on inverter to the High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) from this point on known as On-Board Vehicle Power-Inverter (OBVP-Inverter). The OBVP-Inverter, when installed in a vehicle, will be capable of outputting 5kW to 10kW of electrical power at 120/208 VAC, 60 Hz stationary and 2.5kW with vehicle in motion. Mechanical power from the diesel engine is made into electrical power by the 400 Amp alternator feeding inverter(s). In the course of this arrangement, electric power can be exported from the vehicle for operational requirements. Additional requirements can be found in the Statement of Work and the Performance Specification. In addition to questions and requirements addressed above that the Marine Corps Systems Command is seeking information on: Manufacturing capabilities Production quantity Production surge capacity Unit pricing information, notional delivery timeframes, and any potential quantity discounts Highlight additional features provided by your product(s) Listed on Federal Supply Schedule This sources sought notice is to seek information from prospective offerors to: Gain a better understanding of the capabilities in the commercial marketplace, small-business set-aside, small disadvantaged businesses, and/or HUB ZONE Determine whether small businesses can meet the Government's requirements at fair market prices Understand appropriate period of time for delivery of proposals Understand implications of solicitation requirement for a bid sample to be submitted alongside business and technical proposal Understand applicability of Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6 for commercial items This sources-sought / Request For Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request For Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire follow-on acquisition. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI, or otherwise pay for the information requested. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and Government use of such information. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be part of this effort. If so included, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data and present it as an addendum to the non-restricted/non-proprietary information.
