DPM JOFOC THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), intends to enter into a contract with SKC, Inc., herein referred to as Contractor, for Diesel Particle Matter (DPM)Cassettes. The anticipated award date is on or about June 14, 2013. Market Research and a manufacturer memorandum yields there is only one source capable of producing the required equipment. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). The NAICS code for this action is 334512. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government shall consider all responsible sources received within four days of this posting. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona-fide capability to fulfill the requirement. If no written responses are received after the publication of this notice the purchase will be awarded without further notice. Please email Contract Specialist, Tracey L.
