Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR: Project 537-12-122 Electrical Service Relocation for Building 5 at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, 820 South Damen Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60612. This construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small Business (SDVOSBs). The contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, temporary protection, and qualified supervision to complete Project # 537-12-122. This project involves the removal of existing medium and low voltage normal service substations, panels, transformers, and distribution.; the upgrade of the existing Electrical and HVAC Systems, Plumbing Work and Toilets for Building 5 at Jesse Brown VAMC, as outlined in the contract documents. Time for completion is 365 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. The solicitation, specifications, and drawings will be posted to FedBizOps. There will be a pre-bid site visit held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid site conference will be included in the solicitation package. The solicitation for this project will be issued on or about June 21, 2013 with the bid opening on or about July 23, 2013.The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOps which may be issued to this solicitation. The project magnitude range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238210; size standard $14.0 Million applies. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB's) construction firms.
