Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice for medical gases which will be delivered to specific VA Medical Centers in VISN 7 to include: Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina. Gases to be purchased and delivered include, but are not limited to compressed Medical Air USP, Oxygen USP, Carbon Dioxide USP, Nitrogen NF, Nitrous Oxide USP, Helium USP and specialty medical gas mixtures. Quantities in solicitation will be estimates for each location's annual requirements. There is no express or implied guarantee that the estimated quantities will be purchased. The solicitation schedule will indicate whether the contractor will fill government owned (g) cylinders, will provide contractor owned cylinders, or will be servicing the facility with a combination of both (C/G). Period of performance is from 1 July 2013 to 30 September 2013 for based period with two option years. The solicitation will be issued as a TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERANS OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE (SDVOSB). Firm must be in VETBIZ at hrrp://www.vetbiz.gov/ and the SAM data base, see: www.sam.gov./PRIOR to submitting a proposal. Offerors must ensure that registration in this website is not expired and is correct, current and valid. The NAICS code for this project is 325120. This procurement will be competed as a SDVOSB and will be conducted using the commercial item procedures of FAR Part 12 in conjunction with FAR Part 13. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted on or about 10 June 2013. No hard copies will be provided. Prospective contractors are required to download copies of the solicitation from the Federal Business Opportunities website at https://www.fbo.gov.
