- INTRODUCTION. This is a Sources Sought announcement for market research purposes only. The Fort Leonard Wood (FLW) Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC) is seeking responses from entities that will be able to provide Project Management Professional (PMP) Training services to be conducted at the United States Army Engineer School, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. This does not constitute a notification for a specific requirement and is for informational purposes only to determine sources and the ability to set-aside any future requirements by the Mission and Installation Contracting Command - Fort Leonard Wood (MICC-FLW) office. IF A SOLICITATION IS ISSUED IT WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT A LATER DATE, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. BACKGROUND. U.S. Army Engineer School develops manages and provides instruction to the Engineer Captain's Career Course (ECCC) covering 21 weeks course length. The mission of the ECCC is to train captains, and produce motivated, disciplined, and skilled leaders through demanding tactical, technical, and Army values based training. Project management is the art and science of managing assets (time, personnel, equipment, and money) in order to complete a project in the way that best meets customers' needs and expectations. Project managers traditionally balance three constraints-time, quality, and cost-to achieve desired results throughout each phase of a project. In order for the Army engineer officer to remain relevant in today's joint, interagency, intergovernmental, multinational, industrial, and academic environment, project management Army engineer officers must lead the charge toward increased project management professional training to maintain the confidence of the joint force as its finest leaders, planners, and managers. The Project Management Body of Knowledge functions of PMP include the following Process Groups: a.Initiating Process Group b.Planning Process Group c.Executing Process Group d.Monitoring and Controlling Process Group e.Closing process Group The Project Management Body of Knowledge functions of PMP include the following Knowledge Areas: a.Project Integration Management b.Project Scope Management c.Project Time Management d.Project Cost Management e.Project Quality Management f.Project Human Resources Management g.Project Communications Management h.Project Risk Management i.Project Procurement Management j.Project Management Stakeholder Documentation of technical expertise and capability must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine whether your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. It is imperative that business concerns responding to these sources sought articulate their capabilities clearly and adequately. IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED PLEASE ENSURE, AT A MINIMUM, THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS PROVIDED IN YOUR RESPONSE: 1.Relevant past performance on same/similar work dating back to the last two years and your company's capability to do this type of work. These references must include a description of relevant work performed, contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement, and a point of contact address and phone numbers. 2.Previous and/or current experienced personnel able to perform Project Management Professional (PMP) Training. 3.Previous and/or current experience demonstrating Project Management Institute (PMI) application process for PMI certification during submission of student educational and background experience information. 4.If previous work was performed as a subcontractor, please indicate percentage of work/subcontract dollar value. 5.Can options for future year requirements be used, if so how many years? 6.The recommended NAICS Code. 7.SBA Small Business category/preference (i.e., 8(a), HUBZONE, WOSB, Veteran Owned, Small Disadvantaged Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, etc.). 8.Cage Code and/or DUNS number. 9.Point of Contact for your firm. 10.Please identify if your company offers this requirement through the General Services Administration (GSA Advantage) and the GSA Schedule document number. Any response to this announcement shall be EMAILED ONLY to the following contracting representatives: robert.g.atchison2.civ@mail.mil 4:00 p.m. (Central Time) on 8 July 2013. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation.
