Description
The Utah United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) Soil Survey Program will be soliciting professional Range Management services in June 2013. Solicitation will be for an Indefinite Deliverable / Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ Contract). The award will be to multiple qualified vendors, the number of awardees is determined by the number response and meeting of the qualified evaluation factors. All responses shall be submitted to: USDA NRCS UTAH STATE OFFICE Attn: Shane Miller, Contracting Officer 125 South State Street Room 4010 Salt Lake City, Utah 84138-1100 Potential Contractors shall be able to independently conduct some or all of the following items: 1. Writing New Ecological Site Descriptions (ESDs) 2. Writing State and Transition Model (S&TMs) 3. Writing Rangeland Health Reference Worksheets (RHRW) 4. Correlation of Ecological Site Description to Soil Components in Soil Survey 5. Field Data Collection for ESD Development 6. Providing Training to Staff on ESD Development, Soil Component & ESD Correlation and Plant Identification 7. National Resources Inventory - Rangeland Field Study Data Collection Key Personnel Qualifications  Bachelor of Science/Masters or PhD degree with required number of credits to qualify as an NRCS Range Management Specialist. (OPM Series 454) is required  Advanced degree in Range Science or additional studies related to Range Science. Experience in the western U.S. is preferred.  Professional Certification by the Society for Range Management.  Course work or experience in utilizing GPS, GIS, and required databases. Place of Performance The work will be conducted in various areas of Utah and designated with the Statement of Work (SOW) for each delivery task order. Period of Performance Up to Five years from the date the contract is issued (Base year plus four option years).
