- The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk Groton Office (FLCN), Contracting Department, Groton, CT intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed-Price 100 percent small business set-aside procurement action for the evaluation and repair or replacement of a Steinway Piano Model B as requested by The School of Music, 1420 Gator Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23521. The piano services will be acquired utilizing procedures under the Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 12- Acquisition of Commercial Items, FAR Part 13- Simplified Acquisition Methods, and FAR Subpart 19.5 “ Set Asides for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System code for this acquisition is 339992 and the size standard is 500. A request for quote is available as part of this notice and can be downloaded from the following websites: http://www.neco.navy.mil, www.fbo.gov. Potential vendors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available by downloading the documents at the above web sites. This office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the quote. Through its submission, the vendor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award, during performance and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for award to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a vendor ineligible for award. Vendors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1- 866-606-8220, or via the Internet at http://www.sam.gov. The NECO website has a "submit bid" button next to the solicitation number. DO NOT use the "submit bid" button on NECO to submit your proposal.
