The principle desire in hosting the Batteries Industry Forum is to share information in order to improve end-to-end supply chain support for our war-fighting customers. DLA Land Supply Chain will provide the latest information having a direct impact on future procurements of Batteries. This Industry Forum is an opportunity for DLA Land Supply Chain to receive direct feedback from you, our supply chain partners so that, together, we can make a more seamless, uninterrupted supply chain and improve support to our most deserving customers. DLA Land Supply Chain will provide an overview of their Batteries procurement mission to include planning, product quality, and contracting functions. You will hear from our Land Customer Operations regarding the latest information on future requirements from the Military Services for Batteries. We will present our initiatives to improve protect the supply chain and quality controls in future procurements of Batteries. A collaboration room is reserved in the afternoon for Suppliers to collaborate with DLA Land buyers, administrators, product specialists, supply planners, etc. These sessions will also provide you an opportunity to discuss any specific issues that pertain to your company. The collaboration sessions will not include any additional discussions regarding the Supply Chain Integrator Contract initiatives. A separate collaboration room is reserved for the Supply Chain Integrator Contract initiatives. If you have specific question or would like to meet with a subject matter expert (SME), please send an email to: DLA.Land.and.Maritime.Battery.Collaboration@dla.mil In order to accommodate everyone's request; we will need to close the mailbox Friday, June 21, 2013 two (2) days prior to the forum date. DLA Land and Maritime Strategic Program Directorate will provide an overview of their upcoming Supply Chain Integrator Contract initiative that will require but not limited to having the contractor perform inventory management, acquisition, distribution, shelf-life management, forecasting, obsolescence management, disposal, quality assurance, and surge and sustainment requirements. A draft Request For Proposal (RFP) with Performance Work Statement (PWS) will be released prior to the Batteries Industry Outreach Forum discussion. During the session, there will be specific time set aside that will allow for questions and answers with regard to the Supply Chain Integrator Contract initiative. In addition to the question and answer session, there will be an opportunity for collaboration discussions to occur with the subject matter experts (SMEs) in this arena.
