Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division, Panama City, FL intends to award a sole source firm fixed price commercial order to Reliable System Services Corporation, 746 North Dr., Melbourne, FL 32934 for the following items: -RT-1944/U Radio RT-1944U 224011 16 each -Radio Amplifier Box RAB 2241206 each -RT-1944/U Amplifier RT-1944U HPA, 224019-0018 each -RT-1944/U Filter RT-1944 RF Filter 224115-001 12 each -Iridium RT-1988A/U RT-1988A/U Iridium Data Link Transceiver Unit (DLTU)6 each -SHIPPING 100000717598-00101 lot These slightly modified Commercial Off- the-Shelf (COTS) items being requisitioned in support of the LCS Multi-Vehicle Communication System (MVCS). These items are manufactured by Reliable System Services. This action is unsuitable for full and open completion for the following reasons: The end items being purchased were specifically tested as part of the MVCS and are the only items that have been certified through interoperability certification. Currently, no other source meets the certification requirements for interoperability with the MVCS. The slightly modified COTS items being purchased were specifically tested, evaluated, and certified as part of the MVCS. Other slightly modified COTS items would require extensive engineering testing and certification which would result in the required deliverable dates not being achieved. Currently, no other source meets the certification requirements for interoperability with the MVCS. Delivery Point is FOB Destination to the Naval Support Activity Panama City, Receiving Officer, Building 100, 101 Vernon Ave, Panama City, FL 32407-7001. The applicable NAICS Code is 334220, FSC is 2090, and the small business size standard is 750 employees.
