- The FAA is seeking competent and qualified fabricators and/or glaziers interested in executing cab glass replacement projects at various airport traffic control towers (ATCTs) around the United States. This is not a Screening Information Request (SIR) or Request for Proposal (RFP). Work to be performed under this contract may include investigation, testing, sizing, removal, fabrication and/or installation of ATCT cab glass for the Federal Aviation Administration at various ATCTs. The typical types of glazing installed in FAA ATCT facilities usually consists of one of the following types of annealed glass systems, but is not limited to: Monolithic Glass Insulated Glass Unit (IGU) Laminated Insulated Glass Unit Laminated Glass Unit The FAA also has a limited number of facilities that require the following application: Electromagnetic Interference(EMI) / Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) Reduction Glass All work shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications, which will be issued for each specific location. Some work may be required to be performed at night. Projects may require on-site pre-bid meetings. The Geographic scope of work to be performed under this contract is for facilities in all 50 states. Work will be conducted on active airports and the contractor shall comply with all procedures, rules and regulations of the airport authorities including limitations on equipment heights, taxiway and runway barricade requirements, traffic control, allowable work hours, and other issues to ensure uninterrupted airport operations. All work shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications. 1.This will be awarded as an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract with one base year and four one year options. This contract may also be awarded as a Multiple Award Contract. 2.This project is unrestricted and considered full and open competition. 3.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238150, Glass & Glazing Contractors. The small business size standard is: $14 Million. 4.The cumulative ceiling for all contracts awarded is $9.5 Million. 5.Award will be made as a best value to the Government considering the following evaluation factors: Management Approach, Past Performance, and Technical Approach. 6.The non-price factors are significantly more important than price. The initial information submitted will be evaluated on a Go/No-Go basis. Offerors must receive a Go on all of the following criteria to be considered a viable offeror and eligible to receive the solicitation: Performed at least three (3) projects (current or past) within the past five (5) years that included the installation of multiple individual windows of 50 ft2 or larger at a minimum of 100 ft above ground level. Indicate the size and scope on the Past Experience History document (Attachment #1). Scope is described above. Similar work must include Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), other Federal or State Government, Airport Authority projects or large commercial buildings. Offeror shall identify the contracting agency. You must provide the contract number or project identifier, which includes a point of contact and phone number.
