Description

Naval Air Systems Command, PMA-266, intends to issue a new contract to General Electric Intelligent Platforms Embedded Solutions, Inc. (GE) for the procurement of quantity of 15 Qualified Rugged Ethernet Switches (RES-210), Part Number 920-100400-110E on a sole source basis due to only one known responsible source that can meet the requirements. The proposed contract action is for services and hardware for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(iii)(A), states services may be deemed to be available only from one responsible source when it is likely that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. All inquires and concerns must be addressed to the Contract Specialist, Ms. Karin Weinert at Karin.weinert@navy.mil. Responses to this notice must be submitted by the closing date of the synopsis. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in a future competition.
