- Description
- ENVI is the standard software used for advanced Hyperspectral/Multispectral Imagery (HSI/MSI) exploitation for Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT). Although SOCET GXP is the selected DCGS-A GEOINT software, it currently only provides the basic GEOINT needed capability. It does not provide the advanced HSI/MSI exploitation capability. Currently there are no timelines established of when and if this capability will be added. Software Features Include: - Process and analyze hyperspectral/multispectral geospatial imagery for defense & intelligence, urban planning, mining, geology, and space science. - Ability to combine the latest spectral image processing and image analysis technology. - User-friendly interface, the ability to drag and drop files from Windows Explorer, and integrate information from other desktop applications. - Ability to gather imagery types from today's popular satellite and airborne sensors including panchromatic, multispectral, hyperspectral, radar, thermal, and lidar. - Ability to access imagery from OGC and JPIP compliant servers. - Ability to search for moving and non-moving watercraft in open water, measure relative water depth and recognize unique objects that are not native to the environment. - Use pixel responses at different wavelengths to obtain information about the materials within each pixel. - Ability to register two or more images, calibrate imagery, create vector overlays, identify regions of interest, create digital elevation models, correct imagery for atmospheric distortions and resize, rotate, or convert the data type - Ability to detect change, apply common and user-defined filters and perform custom band and spectral math functions. - Ability to create batch processes, customize menus, add algorithms and tools, integrate C++ and Java code.
