- The National Park Service (NPS) issued a Prospectus soliciting proposals for the award of two (2) Concession Contracts for Guided Mountain Climbing and Climbing Schools within Grand Teton National Park on May 1, 2013. In the prospectus issued May 1, 2013, the National Park Service advised it would respond to questions about the prospectus if submitted in writing and received by May 30, 2013. Modification 1 is issued to provide responses to questions asked by the due date. These following responses to the questions will also be available on the NPS Commercial Services website, here: http://concessions.nps.gov/grteXXX-14.htm 1. In Subfactor 3(c), please explain what you mean by "tabular submissions are preferred". Please provide your response to question 3c-1 in a chart or spreadsheet rather than a lengthy narrative for each infraction. Tabular submissions are not required for question 3c-2. 2. Referring to Exhibit F, SEC. 3, item (a), number (2), are the current concession facilities within Seismic Zones 3 or 4? As part of its due diligence, a prospective bidder should contact its insurance agent or broker to discuss the operation it is considering and the insurance. Insurance professionals should be able to discuss current earthquake and flood insurance requirements for the assigned concession facilities if applicable. 3. Referring to Exhibit F, SEC. 3, item (a), number (8), are the current concession facilities within Flood Zones A or V? As part of its due diligence, a prospective bidder should contact its insurance agent or broker to discuss the operation it is considering and the insurance. Insurance professionals should be able to discuss current earthquake and flood insurance requirements for the assigned concession facilities if applicable. Any proposal, including that of the existing concessioners, must be received by the Chief of Concessions, Intermountain Region, National Park Service, 12795 West Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado 80228 by 4:00 p.m. MST on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in order to be evaluated and considered for award of the Concession Contract.
