Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Orlando, FL (OVAMC) seeks to negotiate a contract to develop and implement a PATIENT CENTERED CARE (PCC) NEW EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION (NEO) NEW HIRE ONBOARDING PROGRAM. The federal government, the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Veterans Health Administration are engaged in critical organization-wide initiatives to fulfill public service missions while reducing costs to US taxpayers. The Orlando VA Medical Center has aggressively engaged this mandate by authorizing a series of strategic priorities to better serve Veteran patients while ensuring organizational capabilities and efficiency. This requested work focuses on Customer Service development and prepares each new employee (clinical and non-clinical) to deliver care that is personalized, proactive and patient-driven by developing an effective workplace environment through the implementation of a comprehensive Customer Service development program. It is the VA's intention to solicit proposals on a competitive basis under RFP VA248-13-R-1847 in accordance with all terms, conditions, clauses, specifications and schedules of this solicitation. The VA anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed Price contract from this solicitation for the Central Florida Veterans Health Care System. The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Parts 12 and 15. This solicitation is intended for use by the corporate Orlando VA Medical Center. The contractor shall provide services by developing and implementing a Patient Centered Care (PCC) New Employee Orientation (NEO) New Hire Onboarding Program for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Orlando VA Medical Center. The NAICS code for this procurement is 611430, Size standard is $10 Million. This is a Synopsis of the Orlando VA Patient Centered Care (PCC) New Employee Orientation (NEO) New Hire Onboarding Program requirement only. No formal solicitation document is being issued at this time. Responses are Optional but not required. Any response to this Notice should include Name and address of company, Business size (large or small) identifying whether or not the firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories (i.e.) Veteran Owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Woman owned Businesses, etc.), and any other pertinent information which demonstrates the company's ability to meet the above requirements. The RFP is projected to be issued on or about June 26, 2013. NO AWARD will result from any response submitted to this Pre-Solicitation Notice.
