Description
REPAIR/REPLACE COOLING TOWERS, BLDG 36 Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, to Repair/Replace Cooling Towers 3 through 6, located behind Building 36. Work includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of the lintels, fill, fan blades, fan drive equipment, pumps, valves, distribution equipment, and mist eliminators for Towers 3, 4, and 5. Structural Repairs are included in this project for Towers 3, 4, and 5. Tower 6 shall be demolished. Underground valves associated with the by-pass system shall be replaced.0 The work shall be performed by a general contractor. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable NGA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 168 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The facilities served by these systems will remain in operation for the duration of the contract. The contractor shall be required to maintain HVAC service throughout the contract. At least one tower shall remain operational at all times, with two towers operational during the peak cooling months, May through September. The approximate cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The project is 100 percent set-aside for small business. The NAICS code for this project is 236220, size standard $33.5M. This work is located at the National-Geospatial-Intelligence Agency facilities at 3200 South Second Street, St. Louis, Missouri 63118-3399. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. All contractors must have a current registration on www.sam.gov (formerly known as the CCR) under the applicable NAICS Code to be eligible for an award.
