Description
"THIS IS A SUBCONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY" SCOPE OF WORK Provide up to twenty-four (24) Job Corps participants per class with EMT Basic classes. The participants achieving EMT Basic certification, meeting the NREMT felony conviction policy and attaining State Licensure, shall receive an offer of employment, by subcontractor, or an appropriate subsidiary or affiliated company of subcontractor as employer of record, as a EMT-B. Once enrolled in the program, the up to twenty-four (24) Job Corps participants per class shall receive EMT Basic training on a full-time basis. The instructor will conduct the EMT-B certification classes eight (8) hours per week (the Job Corps instructor will participate in those classes, to the extent possible, and provide supplemental EMT classes for the remaining thirty-two (32) hours per week). The proposed subcontractor program requires that students be provided, at a minimum: a. 110 hours classroom instruction b. 10 hours field observation/clinical time at assigned subcontractors site with 5 patient contacts. c. 24 hours exam preparation and review (written and practical) d. National Registry practical skills examination e. Up to 2.5 hours for National Registry written exam f. No less than 170 program hours is the requirement for all students from course beginning-to-testing for EMT licensure. Daily/weekly class schedules, and training sites, can be determined and mutually agreed upon at a later date. Maintain on-going coordination with Center staff that includes but is not limited to providing participants with full disclosure of the subcontractors training program, program parameters, and subcontractors hire requirements. Recruit, interview and screen program applicants for acceptance into the training program and determine eligibility for hire. Provide a qualified EMT instructor capable of conducting the 110 hours didactic portion of the program, and a sufficient number of qualified personnel to maintain required student-to-instructor ratio for the clinical portion of the program. Provide a weekly progress report on the progress of each participant accepted into the program and for six (6) months after employment begins. Notify the Center Vocational Manager and EMT assigned counselor immediately of any problem that arises that may result in the termination of the participant's training and/or employment.
