Description
The Government intends to award a contract to Mechdyne Corporation, on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. The solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-63, effective 10 December 2012. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 517210. The small business size standard for this NAICS code is 1500 employees. Mechdyne Corporation is considered to be sole source for this requirement as they manufacture software suitable with minimal modifications. The contracted services will be a modification to the Geospatial Environment for Command and Control Operations (GEC2O). A determination by the Government not to complete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
