- Specifications for European washers Specifications on European Dryer MARKET RESEARCH QUESTIONNAIRE to the appliances dealers/resellers. The Government is seeking responses to these questions in order to determine potential sources and obtain valuable information for the development of the acquisition strategy for a purchase of 800 European washers and 800 European dryers (see specifications attached) in Fiscal Year 2013. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this market research is strictly voluntary. Responses will not be returned. No entitlements to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges to the Government can arise as a result of contractor submission of responses, or the Government's use of such information. The information obtained from industry's responses to this notice may be used in the development of the future request for proposal (RFP). 1. What is the normal warranty period on European appliances (washers and dryers)? Two or three years? 2. What is a minimum warranty for appliances: European washers and dryers in Germany? 3. What is the maximum warranty period? What is the cost associated when purchasing appliances with the maximum warranty? How much more of a cost is it than "normal" or "minimum" warrant? 4. If appliances need to be repaired during warranty period, how would the US Government proceed to have them repaired and how quick is the repair turnaround? Can the company repair the appliances at a US facility or need to take them to their facility? Please note, all non-usable appliances would be picked up from the US users and brought to the Furnishings Management Office (FMO) in Einsiedlerhof, Germany to be repaired. 5. Is it common that a appliances dealers/resellers possess ISO 9001:2000 certification? US Air Force Customer would like to include the following requirement: "The appliance shall be manufactured within the scope of a quality management system according to ISO 9001:2000 which shall be certified by a recognized institute. The Offeror shall provide such compliance by submitting a copy of the corresponding certificate upon request prior to contract award." If this is not possible, please explain why not. 6. Would it be possible for the appliances dealers/resellers to provide user's instruction manual (hard copy) in English language inside each appliance and one electronic format (CD) of instructions to each Government ordering activity along with repair manual that shall comprise parts lists with spare part numbers, drawings, exploded view drawings, and a trouble shooting guide in English and German. If yes, how much would it cost? If not, please explain why not. 7. US Air Force Customer might request samples of European washer and dryer prior to a contract award. How fast can you deliver it to FMO, Eunsiedlerhof, Germany? Please note, responses will not be published nor will any information be disclosed outside the Government.
