Description
SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY: This is a Sources Sought request for information to be used for market research purposes, only. The Government is conducting market research to assist in determining the appropriate solution to meet the Government's requirements. The Government is seeking responses from all businesses capable of providing the solution or has knowledge of the industry. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE or PROPOSAL. Responses to this announcement are not considered quotes or offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses will not be used for evaluation in any resultant solicitation for this requirement. The government shall not be held responsible for any costs incurred in response to this sources sought announcement. Participation is strictly voluntary. This notice will close 19 June 2013 at 1000 AM EST. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command at the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY, has an anticipated requirement for 1,200 thermometer parts kits which are compatible with the custom design of the existing thermometer kit and the specifications and footprint on that kit's printed circuit board (PCB). The larger kit generally consists of a printed circuit board (PCB), the electronics components necessary to build a circuit, a power source, and the hardware to assemble the kit into a finished product. The smaller thermometer parts kit will subsumed into the larger kit at West Point. The Government anticipates the attached parts and quantities meet the kit requirements: Respondents shall provide a full description of the proposed solution that will meet the specifications. Feedback on this requirement is encouraged. The anticipated NAICS is 334515 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Please review the requirements listed below. At a minimum, the package shall address the following: 1. Title of the requirement, Company Name, Address, and POC. 2. Company profile to include DUNS number/CAGE Code, and a statement regarding current small business status to include small business type(s)/certification(s) such as: SDB, 8a, HubZone, SDVOB, etc. 3. A comprehensive description of the proposed solution and possible kit sample that meets the requirement described in this notice. 4. State the lead time (days) for delivery.
