- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Bedford Healthcare System intends to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-16.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with Medtronic Medical of 710 Medtronic Parkway NE, Minneapolis, MN 55432. This requirement will include the following characteristics: One Bundle Fusion ENT System ver 2.0. The Medtronic Bundle Fusion is an image-guided surgery for use with the ENT Navigation System that can help surgeons make more informed decisions on the OR. Image-guided surgery provides the maximum amount of information about each patient's unique anatomy for safer, more thorough procedures. Features include: Product Description Superior, Reliable Accuracy. Fusion is the first EM navigation devise to offer reproducible accuracy comparable to optic image-guided surgery system. Convenient and Easy to Use. It includes automated registration /verification, reusable instruments, multi-instrument tracking and surgeon-specific settings. Expanded as Needed. Optional hardware, software, and accessories are available to help customize you image-guided surgery for you practice. This system is well proven in clinical practices and is familiar to the surgeons who currently use the Medtronic Fusion System at other institutions on the city. It is tha same system currently is use at the VABHS West Roxbury campus utilized also by the Neurosurgical Service. Standardization of surgical navigation systems across both campuses will result in greater efficiency and increased familiarity by OR personnel and result in significant and critical for the continuity of patient safety improvement. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than 6/21/2013 @ 2:00pm. Responses should be sent to James.Corbett2@va.gov. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
