- STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) FOR THE REPAIRS TO TWO SUB FENDER TRANSPORT CONTAINERS 1. SCOPE Repair two submarine fender transport containers and certify, to include transporting from and to Naval Station Mayport, Jacksonville, Florida. Heat and straighten dents in panels as required, cut out and replace damaged corrugated metal paneling, abrasive blasting interior and exterior, coating with a fast clad zinc HS reinforced zinc primer, Seaguard 5000HS, top coating with Acrolon 218 HS acrylic Polyurethane paint. Install decals, zerk fittings to all doors and hinges and lubricate. 2. SUBMARINE FENDER TRANSPORT CONTAINER IDENTIFICATION 2.1 40 ™ (L) x 8 ™ (W) x 8.5 ™ (H) weather resistant locker #FSCU0415080 2.2 40 ™ (L) x 8 ™ (W) x 8.5 ™ (H) weather resistant locker #FSCU0411079 3. REFERENCES: None 4. REQUIREMENTS 4.1 Sub Fender transport containers are located at Naval Station Mayport. 4.2 Contractor is responsible for transporting. 5. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE 5.1 All work to be completed by 1 Dec 2013. 6. WORK TO BE ACCOMPLISHED ON SUB FENDER TRANSPORT CONTAINER FSCU0415080 (2.1) 6.1 Contractor coordinates with gov ™t representative to pickup lockers and transport to contractor ™s facility. 6.2 Replace 8ft W x 4ft L of plywood decking with 1 and 1/8 in thick 19 ply Apitong marine grade flooring. 6.3 Cut out and patch one 3ft W x 5ft H section of roadside panel with 14 gage metal corrugated panel. 6.4 Heat, hammer and straighten multiple dents in the unit as needed. 6.5 Cut out and replace curbside front corner post to conform to ISO standards. 6.6 Cut out and patch one 18in W x 8ft H section next to curbside corner post with 14 gage metal corrugated panel. 6.7 Install three each heavy duty, weld on collapsible D-rings symmetrically with chains on each top rail. Chains must attach each top rail and assist with keeping box within ISO standards when connected. 6.8 Cut out a 36in section near the center of the bow from both the roadside and curbside top rail, straighten both rails to comply with ISO guidance, insert and weld new 36in metal panel in place of the section removed. 6.9 Manufacture and install 19 bows provided by the government representative into the top rails to ensure proper fit of the bows. 6.10 Cut out one 18in x 18in section, one 18in by 24in section, one 24in x 24in section and one 5ft x 5ft section and replace with 14 gage metal corrugated panels on curbside panel. 6.11 Unable to access undercarriage. Any repairs to undercarriage will need to be addressed as growth work. 6.12 Install zerk fittings and lubricate 8 door hinges and 8 rod guides. 6.13 Ensure surface profile of equipment container has been blasted to an SP-10 profile, apply 40mil thickness of Sherwin Williams Fast Clad Zinc HS Reinforced Zinc Primer, apply one coat of Sherwin Williams Seaguard 5000HS, and one coat of Sherwin Williams Acrolon 218 topcoat to equipment container interior and exterior. (Terracotta interior, terracotta exterior) 6.14 Heat, straighten, weld or replace tarp eyelets as needed. 6.15 Perform certification inspection to make box ISO compliant. 7. WORK TO BE ACCOMPLISHED ON SUB FENDER TRANSPORT CONTAINER FSCU0411079 (2.2) 7.1 Contractor coordinates with gov ™t representative to pickup lockers and transport to contractor ™s facility. 7.2 Replace 8ft W x 40ft L of plywood decking with 1 and 1/8 in thick 19 ply Apitong marine grade flooring. 7.3 Cut out and patch one 2ft W x 8ft H section, one 12in x 18in section of roadside panel with 14 gage metal corrugated panel. 7.4 Heat, hammer and straighten multiple dents in the unit as needed. 7.5 Install three each heavy duty, weld on collapsible D-rings symmetrically with chains on each top rail.
