Description

PROJECT DESCRIPTION The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, supervision, and other support needed to Install Bollards and Replace Gate at the Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany NY 12208 EXISTING CONDITIONS Remove & replace existing Oxygen tank area swing security gate with a new sliding security gate. Install six (6) concrete filled bollards at the new Oxygen tank area sliding gate. OPTIONAL WORK: Option 1: Install three (3) concrete filled bollards at existing building 26 utility service entrance off Myrtle Ave. Option 2: Install two (2) concrete filled bollards at existing building 1, D wing electric transformers. Option 3: Install one (1) concrete filled bollard at existing building 1 Emergency Oxygen service connection point. This procurement has been set aside 100% to Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns. Offers from other than Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns will NOT be considered and shall be rejected. Solicitation packages will be available via FedBizOpps.gov on or about July 3, 2013. All questions concerning this project MUST be submitted electronically to the POC listed below. NO phone calls will be accepted. NAICS code is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction). Size standard is $33.5 million. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The Davis-Bacon Act applies to this requirement. Offerors are encouraged to attend the Pre-Proposal Meeting and walk through at the Albany VA Medical Center. The date, time, and place will be announced in the solicitation. NO OTHER WALK THROUGH WILL BE SCHEDULED. Offerors should re-visit the website located at www.fedbizopps.gov periodically to look for updates. All requests for information are required to be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer and shall be received prior to the proposal due date specified in the solicitation. NO hardcopies, NO telephone inquiries or questions, and ONLY in writing. Award is subject to availability of funds. Emailed proposals will be accepted.
