The Federal Aviation Administration, Western Service Area, is conducting a Market Survey/Request for Information to improve the Government's understanding of the current Market place and to identify capable sources. Responses to this market survey will be used to determine if there is adequate competition to set the requirement aside for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB/8(a)), Small Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), etc. This survey is being conducted in accordance with FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Section 3.2.1.2.1. This survey will support market research obtained from multiple sources and will be utilized for planning purposes only. No contract will result from this posting. Please fill out and return the attached Business Declaration form The purpose of this Market Survey is to seek competent and qualified contractors to perform all tasks for the following description of work: Provide the construction service for Relocation of Glide Slope and Runway Visual Range including Demolition of the Existing Facilities at Long Beach Airport located at Long Beach, California. The length of this contract will be 30 calendar days. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment in strict accordance with these specifications and drawings. This project includes but is not limited to and incidental related work: For Runway 30 Glide Slope Facility: a. Construction of a concrete foundation for GS antenna tower including installation of the aircraft rated concrete pullboxes at GS facility. b. Installation of a concrete ductbank for Communication and Power cables. c. Construction of the ground counterpoise systems around the GS antenna tower concrete foundation and terminate all guard wires to the existing counterpoise of GS shelter. d. Disassemble of GS antennas and tower from the exiting concrete pad and assemble of GS antennas and tower (GFM) on the new concrete pad. e. Installation of a new high voltage transformer and power distribution rack. f. Splice and installation of new power cables. g. Asphalt patching at GS facility. h. Demolition of the existing GS antenna tower concrete foundation, external junction box and equipment rack. Restore the area to match the existing surrounding. For Runway 30 Runway Visual Range a. Installation of a new concrete pad for RVR Touchdown. b. Disassemble and assemble of the existing RVR equipment on a new rack including LIR pole. Installation of RVR counterpoise system. c. Installation of communication and power cables. d. Demolition of the existing concrete pad and equipment rack. The NAICS Code for this is: 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. With a size standard of $33.5 million.
