- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. DESCRIPTION AND MAGNITUDE OF WORK: The work consists of driving steel H-piles, constructing concrete and masonry features, installing rated vision panels, roof hatch, doors and stairs, placing compacted fill, installing equipment for HVAC, electrical distribution, lighting, back-up power generation, minor plumbing, sleeping and storage facilities, emergency and safety requirements and routing pump station electronic feeds for monitoring within the Emergency Shelter. The elevated structure is to be rated to withstand 250 mph winds and provide Emergency Shelter for 2 personnel. ***THIS INFORMATION IS POSTED FOR SUBCONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES ONLY.
