Description
The following are questions with answers received from vendors. The submission date is hereby extended until June 24, 2013. Item 11 lists a quantity of one SSB antenna. The radio will require two antennas. A. Line item 8 ask for 2 antennas The vessel has a certified GMDSS suite to operate in sea area A3. The last SOLAS/ GMDSS survey was performed by Mackay Marine. 1. The SSAS option for the referenced GMDSS console was not specified. In order to complete the ABS survey it needs to be in place. Should this be added to the quote? A. No, the ship already has a SSAS system. It is separate from the GMDSS suite. It can be tested during the survey. 2. A GPS needs to be installed with the SSAS system. We recommend one be installed on each STD-C system. Should this be added to the quote? A. No, not required 3. To complete the GMDSS survey the BWAS system needs to be checked if in place. Does the ship have a BWAS installed? If yes, what is the manufacturer and model? A. No, the ship does not have a BWAS. A separate quote can be presented to install a BWAS system. 4. To complete the GMDSS survey the VDR/S-VDR needs to be checked. What is the manufacturer and model? A. Furuno S-VDR VR-3000S 5. To complete the GMDSS survey the AIS needs to be checked. What is the manufacturer and model? A. Furuno FA-150 6. To complete the GMDSS survey the EPIRBs need to be checked. What are the make and model(s)? ACR RLB-36 7. Does the delivery date of July 10, 2013 mean delivered, installed, and inspected? If yes, is the vessel available on weekends? On July 4th? Evenings? A. The July 10th delivery date is when the entire task is complete. The ship will be available weekends and holidays. Arrangements can be made to work late into the evening.
