Description

The requirement calls for maintenance support for postal equipment owned by the United States Government. The postal equipment was manufactured by Pitney Bowes INC. Pitney Bowes INC, as the manufacturer, is the only company capable and qualified to provide maintenance support for the postal equipment currently owned by FLCJ. The estimated cost of procuring new postal equipment is more than the requiring activity is capable of funding. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Questions and written requests may be emailed to edward.whittaker@navy.mil. Any source that feels they are qualified to meet this requirement may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by FLCJ. This synopsis and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil.
