- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This combined synopsis/solicitation provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation and subsequent Circulars. This solicitation is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and a 100% small business set aside. The NAICS code is 336413. The business size standard is 1000 employees. The solicitation number is FA4654-13-T-0001. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Contract. Provide quotes for the following supplies, Brand Name or Equal. Delivery is required FOB Destination not later than 30 days after receipt of award. Item 0001: KC135R INTAKE COVERS Quantity: 15 Sets (each set comprised of 4 intake covers) Item Description: Contractor to provide aircraft engine covers are intake engine covers for the KC-135R model, CFM56 engine. Material color: Red. Four (4) covers per set.KC-135R Tambourine type double fold intake covers should be designed to be easily installed byone or two persons. Should be a flat vinyl fabric panel built around a foldingcircular frame made of foam-padded stainless steel tubing, with stainless steel and aluminum components(high-grade, to prevent corrosion). Each covershould attach at two points on the nacelle (3 O clock and 9 O clock positions)with ball-lock pins. The Double-Fold design folds twice, down to a dimensionof about 56 in x 24 inch x 4 inch, and should come with storage cases. Shouldhave a screen mesh panel in the center to help prevent sail effect during windy conditions. Mesh panel size is 40 inch X 25 inch. Suggested Item: Bruces Custom Covers #KC135-160.
