Description

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price contract to AMETEK, Inc. to modify 273 Fuel Quantity Indicator System (FQIS) units to correct reliability and accuracy issues. The effort will include, but is not limited to, recalibration and modification of the units. This intended procurement will be processed pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), whereby the supplies and services required are available from only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. AMETEK, Inc. is the original designer, developer, and manufacturer of the FQIS and is the only source with the requisite technical data necessary to accomplish the modification effort. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, responsible sources may submit a capability statement which will be considered by NAVAIR.
