- Description
- The Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville, Florida intends to issue a sole source Request for Proposal (RFP) to Scott Technologies, Inc., 4320 Goldmine Road, Monroe, NC. This is a sole source acquisition of commercial items under FAR part 13.5. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis for this requirement and is issued for notification purposes only. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Governments anticipates that a firm fixed price type contract will be awarded. Scot Technologies, Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). This procurement provides for procurement Scott SCBA Air-packs, face pieces and cylinder and valve assemblies. Scott Technologies equipment is currently in use and there is no other SCBA equipment that will interconnect with the current equipment in place. Thus, procurement of other than Scott Safety equipment will be a duplication of cost and effort by the Government. A Justification and Approval (J&A) for this sole source acquisition has been document and approved. Requiring activity is NAS Fort Worth JTB. NAICS Code 333912 applies. FSC is 4210.
