- Description
- This questionnaire applies to the US Army's conversion effort for the existing fleet of M3A3 Cavalry Fighting Vehicle (CFV). The intent is to convert the M3A3 vehicles into the M2A3 Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) to meet future fielding requirements. Prior to the actual conversion of the vehicles, an Inspect and Repair Only As Necessary (IROAN) effort will be required. Potential Suppliers that have not previously completed a major Bradley production program will be required to complete vehicle qualification testing at the corresponding Government test sites. The purpose of this questionnaire is to evaluate the capability of the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) or other qualified equipment rebuilders to convert and support this equipment. This questionnaire is designed to gauge the interest and current capability of industry. The total estimated quantity of M3A3 to M2A3 vehicles to be converted is 150 each. The vehicles will be provided incrementally over a three-year period; however, production may not be continuous due to the availability of seed vehicles. Fielding of the converted vehicles is anticipated to begin in second quarter of Calendar Year 2015. Please answer all questions applicable to your products and capability. Any supplemental information concerning the performance, availability, reliability/maintainability etc., or any other literature concerning your company's warranty program, production longevity, and reputation would be useful in this survey. There is no risk for you participating in this survey. Also, we cannot compensate you for your participation. However, this is an important opportunity for you to influence the solicitation provisions and contract clauses, our budget requests, and the full range of other elements supporting the acquisition strategy for future programs.
