Description

Under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, this is to notify industry that a Sole Source Fixed Price Contract is anticipated to be awarded in the near future to Ohio Department of Administrative Services, for radio frequency access to State of Ohio Law Enforcement Radio Communication System. The radio system is used to keep law enforcement officials in consistent contact with each other in order to better serve and protect their respective missions. The access also includes alerts from the state's emergency response system, as well as the capability to perform record checks on vehicles and/or persons that they come in to contact with while performing their respective law enforcement/border enforcement duties. Ohio Department of Administrative Services is the only vendor who can provide access to the State of Ohio Law Enforcement Radio Communication. No other vendor has access to or is able to provide this service. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, however all responsible sources that believe they can meet all of the requirements may submit a quote, which shall be considered. Justification is available to be provided upon request.
