Description
Modification #3: Solicitation # CC-BLRI009-14, Concession Business Opportunity for Lodging, Food & Beverage and Retail Services at Mabry Mill and Rocky Knob within the Blue Ridge Parkway Removal of the Lodging (Rocky Knob Cabins) from this Prospectus On March 8, 2013, the National Park Service (Service) issued a prospectus for solicitation of offers for a 10-year concession contract to provide for Lodging, Food and Beverage, Retail and Other Services at Mabry Mill and Rocky Knob within the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Service conducted a site visit of the facilities for potential offerors on April 17, 2013. The initial due date for proposals was June 13, 2013. The Service has extended the due date for proposals and revised this Prospectus to: • Remove the Rocky Knob Cabins from this Prospectus. Accordingly, the Service has removed all information concerning Rocky Knob Cabins from this Prospectus and adjusted the financial data. • Lower the Repair and Maintenance Reserve monthly contribution from 3.5% to 2.5% of gross receipts. • Lower the minimum liability insurance requirements found in Draft Contract Exhibit I to reflect the removal of the lodging operation at Rocky Knob Cabins. • Allow the Concessioner to cure the Deferred Maintenance over the first two years of the Draft Contract. • Include 2012 historical revenue data for Mabry Mill that was previously unavailable. • Include a copy of the new Existing Concession Contract that was previously unavailable. All offers must now be received by the NPS no later than 4:00 p.m. (EDT) on Thursday August 15, 2013, in order to be evaluated and considered for an award of a concession contract. The Service will lead a site visit for interested parties on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. For more information regarding the specific time and to reserve a place, please contact Laura S. Nelson, Concession Management Specialist at (828) 348-3407 or email her at laura_s_nelson@nps.gov. The site visit will be an opportunity for all interested parties to get an overview of the concession operation along with a tour of Concession Facilities associated with the Draft Contract. If you are planning to submit a proposal and have obtained your prospectus from the website, we recommend that you advise Mark Morgan, Concessions Management Specialist, Southeast Region, NPS, AFC, 1924 Building, 100 Alabama Street, S.W., Atlanta, GA 30303 at (404) 507-5638 or e-mail at mark_morgan@nps.gov of your interest so your contact information can be placed on a mailing list to receive future responses to questions or amendments to the prospectus.
