Description
In a continuing effort to identify project cost efficiencies and bring greater value to the U.S. government, CH2M HILL Plateau Remediation Company (CHPRC) has revised our subcontracting strategy from January 2013 for the next five-year option period contract with the U.S. Department of Energy. Upon further review, CHPRC has identified additional efficiencies. These cost efficiencies will bring increased value to the U.S. Government. We anticipate our revised subcontracting strategy will generate savings between $11 and $13 million per year, allowing us to maximize cleanup dollars while still meeting or exceeding our subcontracting goals at Hanford (At least 17% of the total contract price will be performed by small businesses). The revised strategy includes the following competitive solicitations: Miscellaneous Construction Support Services Brief Scope: Contractor shall be responsible for providing building trades, skilled craft, and craft supervision (general foreman or superintendents) necessary to accomplish preventative building maintenance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. In addition, subcontractor shall be required to provide general field construction support for minor construction activities at various locations on the Hanford site. Release of RFP: June 4, 2013. This was issued as a Small Business set aside, Mentor-Protégé contract. Temporary Contracted Labor for Engineering Services Brief Scope: Contractor shall provide technically qualified person(s) as contracted labor resources on an as-needed basis for planned and emerging design and field engineering work activities. Contracted labor will work as an integrated team member under general supervision of CHPRC. Release of RFP: May 31, 2013. This was issued as a Small Business set aside. Various other temporary contracted labor solicitations including Environmental and Safety Support, and Project Controls Support. In addition, various managed tasks will be issued in the future for construction, fabrication, and design activities.
