Description
This project involves removal of existing pumps in SP-1 & SP-2 pits and installation of new pumps (and components/piping) in the tower basement of Ohare International Airport (ORD) ATCT Facility. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to accomplish for this project including, but are not limited to, the following: 1.Remove existing pumps and motors in SP-1 & SP-2 pits. Install new pumps and motors in the same pits. 2.Dispose of all old pumps, piping and electrical equipment which has been removed to allow for the new equipment. 3.Install new piping, and valves for the new back-up pump being installed in SP-1 pit 4.Install a new electrical circuit which includes misc equipment for the circuit. 5.Test the pump systems after the work is completed. 6.Clean out basement basins and connecting piping. The number of basins shall be pointed out during a mandatory pre-bid walk through. 7.Seal basement floor slab cracks in the ATCT basement. The amount of cracks shall be pointed out during a mandatory pre-bid walk through. The contractor shall propose a type of sealant for FAA approval prior to the application of such materials. INTERESTED FIRMS MUST ALSO PROVIDE A STATEMENT OF PAST EXPERIENCE/PERFORMANCE THAT DESCRIBES AND EVIDENCES SUCCESSFUL COMLETION OF PROJECT(S) OF SIMILAR SIZE, SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY OF WORK WITHIN THE LAST THREE (3) YEARS IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN COMPEITION FOR THIS PROJECT AND RECEIVE A SOLICITATION. The work will be performed in strict accordance with the contract specifications. Contract performance time is 14 calendar days. The estimated price range for this procurement is $75,000.00 to $125,000.00. The contractor awarded the contract must have active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) before award can be made. Contractors can register at www.sam.gov NAICS Code is 238220 THERE WILL BE A MANDATORY SITE VISIT DATE AND TIME WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN THE SOLICITATION. VERBAL REQUESTS FOR THE SIR WILL NOT BE HONORED. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract.
