This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes/proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number AG-046W-S-13-0029 is issued as a fixed-price Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-67. This is a small business set-aside with an associated NAICS code of 115310 and small business size standard of $7 million. The following are this solicitation's list of contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure: Line Item: 001; Items: Tree Topping; Quantity: 481; Unit of Measure: EA. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This Contract requires services for removing the tops from trees with a power saw at various locations on the Clackamas River Ranger District of the Mt. Hood National Forest in Clackamas County, Oregon. This topping is not meant to kill the tree but to create a wildlife snag. Please see "Specifications" attachment for details. The date for delivery is October 31, 2013. The place of performance or delivery and acceptance is Clackamas River Ranger District. The provision "52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items", applies to this acquisition and the specific evaluation criteria to be included in paragraph (a) of that provision, are as follows: The award will be made to the Offeror who can provide the best value to the Government. Best value will be determined by examining the Offeror's experience and performance with similar project(s) and the amount of his/her quote. The award may not necessarily go to the lowest quoter.
