- Address: The proposed Elk Creek Meadows Stewardship Project is located west of Elk Creek between river miles 7 and 11 on selected Corps-administered forest lands encompassing a portion of Dworshak, Township 38N, Range 1E, Sections 13, 23, 24, and 26, and Range 2E, Sections 17 and 18. Clearwater County, Idaho. See attached vicinity map on FBO., Unit 1 is accessed from the Cavendish Highway (Hwy 7) turning east onto the Freeman Creek Road. Following Freeman Creek Rd to Dworshak State Park turning north at the Park entrance and heading approximately 4 miles behind a State Park gate. Unit 1 is located approximately 1.5 miles north of the Three Meadows Group Campground., Units 2, 4, and 8 are accessed from the Cavendish highway (Hwy 7) turning east onto the Mason Butte Road. Following Mason Butte Rd for three miles then turn left (north) on to North Dicks Creek Road and follow until Marker 19. Marker 19 is approximately 9.7 miles from the beginning of Mason Butte Rd. Turn right at Marker 19 and follow downhill until reaching the project area. All four units border Dworshak Reservoir and handline done by the North Fork Fire crew will be constructed where machine fireline is not accessible. Any area deemed unsafe by the contractor shall be omitted from machine fireline construction and substituted with handline done by the North Fork Fire crew. The legal location of all the units includes portions of Townships 38, and 39 North and Ranges 1 and 2 East, Boise Meridian. (See Vicinity Map for specifics).
