- Description
- The 319th Contracting Flight, Grand Forks Air Force Base, ND intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a firm fixed price (FFP) contract for Project Number JFSD 200943, Repair Roof, Boiler, and Other Areas - Airey Dining Facility, at Grand Forks AFB, ND. The work required to be performed by the contractor consists of: Repairing portions of SSM roof, flashing, gutters, downspouts, and parapet walls. Installing heat tape in valleys, gutters, and downspouts. Replacing the entryway EPDM (rubber membrane) roof. Replacing concrete stoop and sidewalks at northwest and southeast building entrances. Replacing concrete for drainage at loading dock. Other related roof and drainage repairs and replacements. Repairing interior finishes where water infiltration occurred. Replacing boiler and pumps with three (Government-furnished) boilers and new pumps and controls. Adding a heater in the loading dock area. Installing loading dock seals. Replacing exterior condenser with new air-cooled condensers with the condensing units placed inside the storage area. Replacing tile in kitchen, pots and pans area, and clipper rooms. Replacing floor sinks and minor floor repair. Repairing floor tile at wall base in locations throughout facility. Replacing panic hardware at northeast and southwest building entrances. The project magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The period of performance for this project will be 140 days after the issuance of a notice to proceed, with a winter exclusion period of 1 Nov to 15 Apr. This acquisition is being issued unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, and the small business size standard is $14M. NOTICE TO OFFERORS; FUNDS ARE NOT PRESENTLY AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROJECT. NO AWARD WILL BE MADE UNDER THIS SOLICITATION UNTIL FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE. THE GOVERNMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS SOLICITATION/RFP EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THE BID OPENING/RFP CLOSING DATE. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) system prior to award. Information on SAM registration can be obtained via the internet at https://www.sam.gov/. Failure to register at the SAM website may make the offeror ineligible for award. This solicitation will only be available for viewing and downloading at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. No paper copies or CD-ROMs will be issued. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking FBO to obtain the solicitation and any amendments or other information pertaining to the solicitation. The Government anticipates posting the solicitation on or about 15 days after this notice is issued.
