Description

J & A TITLE: FA4809-13-C-V0004, Intent to Sole Source, to Extend Services via Modification, Military Family Housing Maintenance Services This synopsis is notification of the Seymour Johnson Contracting Office's intent to exercise its unilateral right to extend services on contract FA4809-13-C-V004 for three months in accordance with FAR 52.217-8. The current period of performance ends 30 June 13; however, due to unforeseeable delays with the privatization contract starting on 1 Jul 13 as planned, an extension is needed. The incumbent contractor is QSI International, LLC, 314 E. Commerce St Ste 500, San Antonio, TX 78205. The modification is a continuation of the existing Military Family Housing Maintenance 3-Month bridge contract to ensure continuity of service pending the privatization of Military Family Housing. Performance will commence on or about 1 July 2013 and will be completed on or about 30 Sep 13. APPLICABILITY OF AUTHORITY: This modification will be made under Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii). Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The closing date for this synopsis is 27 June 13 at 04:30 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. The anticipated award date is 28 June 13.
