- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed price contract for a self propelled, deep "V" monohull aluminum hydrographic survey boat, including delivery. The vessel is to be approximately 48 feet long and approximately 16 feet wide. The vessel will be capable of operating in the Gulf of Mexico and shallow, drift strewn rivers. The vessel will be constructed of either 5000 or 6000 series aluminum. The vessel will be constructed IAW US Coast Guard Subchapter quote mark T quote mark The vessel will be designed for 30 knots (minimum) in 3 foot seas. A deck canopy will be provided for the after deck. Fuel Capacity will be 500 gallons minimum. The main engines will be a minimum of 800Hp each. The vessel will be equipped with a (minimum) 16Kw AC generator. The HVAC system will be sized to maintain cabin temperature 60-80 degrees (F) with exterior temperatures between 15 and 100 degrees (F) Delivery and final acceptance will be at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New Orleans District Office. RFP No. W912BU-13-R-0046 will be available on or about 11 July 2013. Hard copies will not be available and written or fax requests will not be accepted. Contractors may download the solicitation (including any drawings) and any amendments via the FedBizOpps web site, www.fbo.gov, on (or after) the issue date. The official media of distribution for the RFP is the Web. All amendments to the RFP will be posted to the FedBizOpps web site. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the FedBizOpps web site for any amendments. Interested firms must register at FedBizOpps in order to access the solicitation. Offerors are responsible for printing copies of the RFQ and any amendments. Proposals will be due on, or about, 01 August 2013 and can be emailed directly to Megan.M.McMullen@usace.army.mil. The NAICS code is 336612 and the size standard is 500 employees. All contractors are required to be registered in the DOD System for Award Management by award. Also, firms who receive a federal contract in excess of $25,000.00 are required by legislation to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans.
