- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with California State Department of Fish and Game continued operation and maintenance of the Nimbus Fish Hatchery. The principal components of work to be performed are: Production and release of fall-run Chinook salmon and steelhead trout in quantities necessary to meet Reclamation's mitigation goals; Maintenance and minor repair of all government owned buildings, housing, and infrastructure within the Hatchery; Maintenance and upkeep of the lands associated with the Hatchery; and Compliance with all existing Hatchery related regulatory requirements. In accordance with FAR 6.302 and the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c)(1), California State Department of Fish and Game is the only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A sole source justification has been prepared in support of this acquisition. Firms believing they can provide these supplies or services above must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer with supporting evidence to that effect in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the stated requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses must be received no later than Monday, July 8, 2013 by 10 a.m. PST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses should include the firm's Dun and Bradstreet number. Firms should identify business size (i.e. small business, other than small business, etc.) in accordance with the size standard for North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 541990 which is $14 Million. This notice may represent the only official notice of such a solicitation.
