- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command MCO- Fort Knox intends to issue an invitation for bid (IFB) to provide lodging for the following requirement: Requirements- type Contract for leak survey on gas distribution system, cathodic protection testing, cathodic protection installation, repair and maintenance of the gas distribution system, and preventative maintenance (PM) on risers on the gas distribution system at Fort Knox, KY. The anticipated period of performance is 01 August 2013 through 31 July 2014, with four one-year option periods. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, vehicles, transportation, and supervision necessary to complete the required work. The Gas Distribution system includes 120 miles of gas lines and 3200 services to approximately 2,038 buildings. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Hubzone Small Business. All responsible Hubzone small business sources may submit a bid. Prospective contractors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (www.sam.gov) prior to the closing date listed in the solicitation. Prior to registering in SAM, contractors must obtain a DUN and Bradstreet number at 1-800-333-0505.
