PR#: 1000012505 NSN : 4730-002281106 Set Aside: UNRESTRICTED ELBOW, TUBE TO HOSE. MERCURY OR MERCURY CONTAINING COMPOUNDS SHALL NOT BE INTENTIONALLY ADDED TO,OR COME IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH,ANY HARDWARE OR SUPPLIES FURNISHED UNDER THIS CONTRACT. EXCEPTION: FUNCTIONAL MERCURY USED IN BATTERIES, FLUORESCENT LIGHTS, REQUIRED INSTRUMENTS; SENSORS OR CONTROLS; WEAPON SYSTEMS; AND CHEMICAL ANALYSIS REAGENTS SPECIFIED BY NAVSEA. PORTABLE FLUORESCENT LAMPS AND PORTABLE INSTRUMENTS CONTAINING MERCURY SHALL BE SHOCK PROOF AND CONTAIN A SECOND BOUNDARY OF CONTAINMENT OF THE MERCURY OR MERCURY COMPOUND. (IAW NAVSEA 5100-003D). CORROSION RESISTING STEEL MATERIAL, 90 DEGREE FLOW ANGLE, 1/2 INCH O.D. TUBE SIZE (3/4-16UNJF-3B THREADS SWIVEL NUT) TO 3/4-24NS-3A THREADS NIPPLE END, PER MILITARY SPECIFICATION TITLED, "FITTINGS, POLYTETRAFLUOROETHYLENE HOSE, HIGH TEMPERATURE, MEDIUM PRESSURE, GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR", USED ON SIKORSKY CARGO TRANSPORT HELICOPTER MODEL CH-54A AND CH-54B; AND F-18 AIRCRAFT. FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION APPLIES. CRITICAL APPLICATION ITEM IAW BASIC SPEC NR MIL-DTL-27272C(1) SUP 1 REVISION NR C DTD 03/27/2013 PART PIECE NUMBER: MS27060-8C The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on its issue date of 7/1/13. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus two year option years) shall not exceed 3 years. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
