- The VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with Merge Healthcare for Merge Eyecare Pacs Software. This requirement will include the following characteristics: Product Description Part #SN-SPY-00018 MERGE EYE CARE PACS, AUTO IMPORT FROM HAAG STREIT SOFTWARE Allows an Eye Station system to automatically import images from Haag Streit software to existing Eye Station software and database Part #CB-SPY-00010 MERGE EYE CARE PACS, IMPORT COMPUTER, SFF - WITH MONITOR Small form factor (SFF) Part #S3-WSTN-00002 STORE TO DICOM FROM AN EYE STATION SYSTEM Patient demographic to be retrieved from Modality Worklist, HL-7, or manual entry. HL-7 purchased separately. Part #HW-WSTN-00167 MERGE EYE STATION, MULTI USER NETWORK HASP, CONC50CAP Part# PS-SPY-00012 MERGE EYE CARE PACS, WEB TRAINING On site training, performed by Merge solutions consultant at a single location. Salient Characteristics The auto import and DICOM interface from Haag Streit, Heidelberg OCT/HRA and IOL master software to a workstation is highly specialized. Many ophthalmic systems do not have a DICOM interface or are not compliant with VA DICOM requirements, which can be solved by directly interfacing the equipment with work stations through the use of Eye PACS. Accordingly, Merge is the only company capable of providing the supplies and services described to adequately interface the ophthalmic equipment with viewing and work stations. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than 07/08/2013 16:00. Responses should be sent to Kolleen.blanton@va.gov. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
