Description

2ea Sequencer board 2ea ADC with cPCI base board A set of data acquisition and control boards is required with the following properties. There are two different boards an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a sequencer (SEQ). Both of these must conform to the compact PCI standard. The sequencer controls and synchronizes the operation of a charge-coupled device (CCD), a set of CAMEX chips, and a set of the ADC boards. It does this via 64 Low-Voltage, Differential Signal (LVDS) output lines with a time resolution of 10 nanoseconds. It also communicates via a Small-Computer Systems Interface (SCSI) cable. The sequencer board must have a static ram memory of 1024k by 72 bits in size. The ADC board has a pair of analog-to-digital converters each sampling at a rate of 8 MHz with a resolution of 14 bits. It also has an on-board field-programmable gate array (FPGA) to allow preprocessing of the data prior to transmission to a computer. Two copies of both the sequencer and ADC boards are required. If offering equivalent, MUST provide specifications to be used in technical consideration
