- NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound is preparing a solicitation requiring process support to the Ship Repair Facility “ Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC) Yokosuka, Japan Code 200 Planning and Engineering Department. Twenty (20) contractor employees (6 Mechanical/Piping Planners, 10 Structural Planners and 4 Electrical Planners) will be required to provide the following principal efforts: Developing and issuing Job Summaries and Task Group Instructions in the Advanced industrial Management (AIM) system for home ported ships in Yokosuka, Japan Providing high level integration of work specifications to include preliminary schedule development Providing logistics parts support for all Long Lead Time Material (LLTM) and Coordinated Ship ™s Allowance List (COSAL) and Allowance Parts List (APL) validation for carriers and surface ships. A copy of the current Performance Work Statement, which is in draft form and currently being revised, is attached to this advance notice. All references addressed in the PWS will be made available at time of solicitation. If any of these references are required in order to determine whether or not a potential offeror has the capability of performing the required effort, an electronic copy may be requested from austin.carter@navy.mil. The period of performance will begin at the date of award and continue for one year thereafter. This will be a best value source selection on the basis of technical capability, management approach, past performance, and price. The purpose of this "Sources Sought Notice" is to determine whether or not the requirement can be fulfilled by small business concerns. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available on NECO sometime in late July or early August 2013 and will be open for approximately 30 days. Attachment (1): Current Performance Work Statement The following information is requested of all interested offerors in order to determine your capabilities: The type of work your company has performed in the recent past in support of the same or similar requirements Whether or not your company has managed a task of this nature before Whether or not your company has managed a team of subcontractors, and if so, how many The specific technical skills your company possesses which will ensure capability to perform the requirements An explanation of your company ™s ability to perform greater than 50 percent of the efforts required The business size standard of your company (please provide CAGE CODE)
