Description
FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT: Andrea Viegas AMSRD-RDER-PRC-ED andrea.j.viegas@us.army.mil The US Army Communications-Electronic Command is conducting a Market Survey to locate potential sources with capability to repair/replace Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) NSN 5960-01-416-0474, originally manufactured by Communications and Power Industries, Inc (CAGE 0MH33) with manufacturer's part number VTX-6389G3. The Government does not own any rights to the technical data that is required to design, develop, manufacture, test or repair the TWTs. Product requirements of the TWT form, fit and function are described in CECOM source control drawing, A3187821, Revision F. A copy of this drawing can be supplied upon written request to Andrea Viegas (e-mail contact below). The contractor shall be required to establish a facility including tools, test equipment, repair parts, personnel, etc., required to meet the repair/rebuild requirements of the contract. The contractor shall perform the inspection, test, fault isolation, complete rebuild, including replacement of the entire vacuum envelope. First Article Testing (FAT) will be required on four TWT's which have been inspected and not found deficient. This requirement is waived for suppliers who have delivered this item via previous contracts with the government. Interested sources must send a capability statement to The US Army Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command, Attn: Andrea Viegas (e-mail contact below), and response must include the following information: demonstration that that he possesses, or shall possess, adequate production plant facilities (equipment, tooling, space) and technical expertise to enable him, or his subcontractors to repair/replace this item; company name and CAGE code; address; phone number; point of contact; e-mail address; business size status. All interested sources are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred that are associated with any response received from industry in response to this Market Survey. Therefore, any costs associated with Market Survey/Sources Sought submissions will be solely at the interested source's expense. This Market Survey does not guarantee a contract by the Government. Interested sources are required to respond in writing to Andrea Viegas at andrea.j.viegas@us.army.mil. Responses must be received no later than August 1, 2013.
