- Pre- Solicitation Notice Demo Building 3 Project 529-12-110 This project is for the Demolition of Building 3 as described in the Base Bid Item and Alternate Bid Item 1 listed below, at the VA Butler Healthcare 325 New Castle Road, Butler, PA 16001, in accordance with specifications and drawings that will be posted with the solicitation. Base Bid Item This project includes general construction, alterations, roads, walks, necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. Work also includes hazardous materials abatement, building and utility demolition, utility systems rework and new work, construction of a new exterior building for electric and fire alarm, grading and seeding. Completion time for Base Bid Item shall be 365 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. ALTERNATE NO. 1: ALL WORK ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FOR BUILDING #3, EXCEPT DEMOLITION OF BUILDING #3, AND ASSOCIATED CONCRETE WALKS AND ASPHALT PAVING, AS INDICATED IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. Completion time for Alternate Bid Item 1 shall be 260 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. For forms and specifications to submit a bid, and to register your name on the bidder's mailing list, go to http://www.fbo.gov/. All respondents must be registered in SAMS data base, see https://www.sam.gov and complete online Reps and Certs at http://www.sam.gov, along with Vets 100 at http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/. All contractors must be registered in vetbiz at http://www.vetbiz.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at this website only. All respondents must obtain amendments at this website; hard copies will not be mailed. All questions must be submitted in writing by mail, email-linda.bressler@va.gov and Jeffrey.Zbezinski@va.gov or fax (724-477-5026) to the issuing office in sufficient time prior to bid opening. NAICS Code is 238910, and is applicable to this acquisition with a Business Size Standard of $14.0 million. Magnitude of Construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The project duration is expected to take, from Notice to Proceed, Base Item - 365 calendar days or 260 days if Alternate Bid Item 1. Solicitation VA244-13-B-1035 will be available on or about July 18, 2013. Bid Opening Date will be specified in the solicitation. Pre-bid conference is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, July 25, 2013, at 1:00 P.M. location to be specified in the solicitation, VA Medical Center, Butler, PA 16001. This is a 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).
