Description
F1T2AP3151A001_Sole Source Letter_Kraft Robotic Arms Repair The Operational Contracting Division, AFTC/PZIO at Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit and award a sole source firm-fixed price contract to Kraft Telerobotics of Overland Park, KS under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). Anticipated award date is 19 Jul 2013. This requirement is for: CLIN 0001: Repair of robotic arms (2 Each) on Kraft Predator manipulator system. Components: KMC 770 Power Chassis: The new KMC 770 power chassis shall be built using the motor amplifiers from the original system. The amplifiers shall be cleaned, tested and recalibrated if necessary. The +24VDC power supply shall be salvaged for use in the new chassis. The power supply shall be tested to insure that it is within operating specifications. KMC 770 Control and Display Unit: A new unit shall be built using the few salvageable components within the CDU. This may include the power supply, wiring harness and frame. KMC 770 Arm Controller Module: There are no salvageable components in the ACM. A new module shall be supplied. - The force feedback masters will require rewiring in order to function with the new electronics system. - The parts for repair shall be shipped to the contractor where the work will be performed. Upon completion of work the parts will be shipped back to Eglin AFB. - SEE attached Sole Source Letter for Kraft proprietary information. These items must be delivered to EGLIN AFB, FL 32542 no later than 120 days after receipt of order. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 333999, small business size standard: 500 employees. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is Not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. However, the government will consider all responses received within 9 days of publication. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
