Description
Amendment II The above solicitation is hereby amended to address vendor questions and answers as follows: Questions: Question: Specification 7. Does the chamber internal environment need to be monitored and the flow of (gases) regulated to maintain a specific concentration, or is this just a simple on/off purge system? Answer: Chamber internal environment needs to be monitored and the flow of (gases) regulated to maintain a specific concentration Question: Specification 8. Does this statement pertain to the humidity water supply only, or for the cascade refrigeration system? * The type of refrigeration system (air-cooled vs. water cooled) is not specified. Is the system to be air-cooled (integral or remote) or water cooled (and somehow self-contained as per #8)? Answer: Should be self-contained as per #8 Question: How many shelves are required, or do you prefer them listed optional, price each? Answer: A minimum of two shelves are required Question: Do you want to purchase the chamber with the LN2boost cooling, or would you prefer that to be listed optional? Answer: No, however, the system shall have the option to add it at a later date if the Government chooses to do so. Question: Does NIST require start-up and operator training on the chamber after purchase? Answer: The following requirements have been added to Line Item 0001: 19. INSTALLATION: The system shall be installed by the Contractor and meet contract specifications no later than two weeks after delivery. Installation, at a minimum, shall include uncrating/unpackaging of all equipment, rigging, set-up and hook-up of the system, demonstration of all specifications, and removal of trash. Onsite installation and demonstration shall be done at NIST, Gaithersburg, MD-Building 225. 20. TRAINING: The contractor shall conduct one (1) training session for up to six (6) users at NIST. The training shall provide a thorough demonstration of all system/solution functions, maintenance, data administration, and basic troubleshooting. The training may be completed at NIST immediately after installation/set-up, but shall be completed no later than 30 days after installation. The due date/time remain unchanged. All responses are due by 3pm EST, July 12, 2013.
